Looking for a Driver (non CDL)/ General Laborer.
Job Description:
- Perform loading and unloading of printed and mailing material often in tray, box’s and on pallets.
- Navigate the Pittsburgh area and maximize pickup and delivery locations to best utilize space and time.
- Utilize the maximum amount of truck space necessary for pickups / deliveries.
- Be mindful and notify supervisor on a shortage of USPS supplies in house so they may be ordered and retrieved.
- Practice safe and secure material handling of product and follow postal regulations.
- Verify accuracy of loaded material and documentation at our facility, the USPS and customer facilities.
- Communicate with internal and external personal in a professional manor.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment / vehicle and notify supervisor on any vehicle maintenance necessary.
- When not performing delivery services, assist operations with manual and mechanical equipment where necessary in the shop.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher.
- Prior delivery experience preferred
- Familiarly with the Pittsburgh area a plus
Requirements:
- Clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and listening skills – Written, Verbal, and Interpersonal.
- Excellent reading and comprehension skills.
- Ability to think analytically, with a focus on problem solving.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift cartons weighing approximately 50 – 70 lbs.+.
- Must have the ability to move pallets of mail in and off the Box Truck or Van.
- Be comfortable driving a Box Truck or Van and be able to navigate in tight spaces.
A driving background check will be performed upon consideration.
Hours 7:30am - 4:00pm - Monday – Friday
Possible overtime in Fall / Winter months
Full Time - $17 per hour + benefits.
